Egypt have slipped down one spot in the FIFA monthly ranking for national teams to finish the year 2012 in 41st place of the table.
The seven-time African champions scored (-1) points to become 41st after lying in 40th place during the months of October and November.
Egypt remained sixth among African nations, with Ivory Coast, Algeria, Mali, Ghana and Zambia leading the way.
FIFA’s monthly ranking system weigh all international matches over a rolling four-year cycle.
