Ahli have requested withdrawing their international players from Egypt’s friendly with Georgia on November 14.
Egypt are supposed to play a friendly match with the European minnows in the UAE, only three days before the return of the Champions League final against Georgia.
“I’m afraid that the date of the Georgia match clashes with our preparation for the final,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com.
“It will be hard for our players to feature with Egypt and then join us.”
Ahli’s internationals have yet to be named by coach Bob Bradley, even so the list is likely to include regulars Ahmed Fathi, Geddo and Mohamed Abou-Treika.
