Former Egypt manager Hassan Shehata is set to be named manager of Qatari giants Al-Arabi, according to widespread reports.
Shehata has been without a job since leaving Zamalek back in July, following a series of poor results in the CAF Champions League.
On the other hand, Al-Arabi have just sacked French manager Pierre Lechantre after the team succumbed to a 1-1 draw with Al-Gharrafa in the league.
Shehata, who guided Egypt to three Africa Cup of Nations titles, has also been linked with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr last month.
